watched Repo! last night. it was corey's fav movie from the first note. i have to say, it was much better than expected. the theatrical release is more solid than the soundtrack music wise, which is kinda cool. Groves, do not buy this. You have a copy under our tree. :)

So I just watched this. Usually I add a trailer, but I decided I'd rather be nice than have the slight chance you'd actually watch it. The back acclaims that it contains "the latest from Japanese break-beat, j-pop and Tokyo lounge music." It does not. It instead contains street performers, and something I could do with Garage Band given the motivation. It also likes to draw out the more boring sections while completely skipping over what may be of interest. The longest section, of course, is of the cosplayers in Yoyogi, which makes sense since anything that claims to be "Japanese street" devotes more than necessary time to cosplayers.
So instead of making you suffer through the trailer, I instead give you what quite possibly may be the greatest picture ever:
Oh, and apparently I'm either bad ass at Donkey Kong or Corey has never played the game. All of the tricks, strat, and techniques were nothing new to me, but Corey was baffled. Kinda cute considering he's the gamer. :P
I have to say, this definitely impressed me. Very well written and appropriately dark. Highly recommended!
I've been avoiding this movie due to a work "regular" by the same name. But, someone gave us a review which made it sound definitely interesting. Turns out the movie is nothing like what they said.
It was alright. The writing could have been much better at times. Dane Cook was pointless, and thankfully not a main character. Mr. Brooks however, is a good character, and does provide a nice "how-to" for serial killers. So if you're interested in pursuing that line of work, you may want to pick this up.
